About American Waltz
American Waltz is the slow, romantic waltz most couples picture when they imagine ballroom dancing. Unlike its International cousin, it allows open positions and underarm turns, which gives it room for choreographed first dances. The 3/4 timing and rise-and-fall make it a forgiving first step into ballroom for adults of any age.
